Phill only joined Heyside part way through 2026, but he’s already having a big impact as our Sales Director, using his decades of sales and plastic industry experience to guide our team and customers.
“My day-to-day features lots of sales and customer visits to discuss custom molding , focused on understanding the needs that our current and potential clients have, and how we can use our expertise to turn their ideas into actual plastic products,” says Phill.
“I take them through how our in-house process works, from the initial design through to prototyping and eventually manufacturing at scale, making sure they’re fully onboard with our collaborative way of working”, he continues.
“The key goal is to be the first-choice British manufacturer for a variety of plastic products across sectors like traffic, Utilities and construction, with a joint aim of pushing these industries to be more sustainable by using products manufactured from recycled materials,” Phill adds.

At Heyside, we’re proud to recycle hundreds of tonnes of plastic per week, turning products like cables and flooring into products like traffic cones, speed ramps, and fence weights.
For Phill, who finds that the plastic industry “is always up against public opinion”, Heyside’s work is important here, in showing how the circular economy works in reality for manufacturing
“We’re one of the country’s biggest recyclers of post-industrial and consumer waste,” he notes, saying, “and we’re proud to say everything we make is done using 100% recycled material which 100% recyclable at end-of-life too, across everyday products that people might not even realise are sustainably made.”
“While other manufacturers might look to ship in cheaper recycled plastic from Asia and Europe, the material we use comes from the UK, beneficial in both increasing our product quality and diverting waste from landfills in this country,” Phill says.

"Beyond showing the industries we work with how they can play their part in the circular economy, we’ve been focusing on how we can expand and increase the reach of our own capabilities, like in custom moulding,” says Phill.
“Our great selling point is our ability to go from concept to completion in three easy steps”, he continues. “Everything is done in-house, starting at the CAD drawings, moving on to rapid prototyping and small batch runs, and finally into mass production.”
“Through our recent conversations with customers, we’ve been able to review our range of products, and see where we could be making changes or developing new ideas, bettering our offering for the future,” he says.

"Heyside is a family run business that has been quietly building a brand grounded in high-quality production and great customer service,” Phill notes.
“As one of the biggest independent custom moulders in the UK, we’re primed to grow over the next five years, especially with our continued investment in machinery, automation, and upskilling our team,” he continues.
“Customers come to us because they’re confident in us, and we’re confident in ourselves. Our products are consistent, and they arrive when we say they will – two important factors for the fast-paced industries we’re proud to work with,” says Phill.
“We listen, and we understand. From the first idea to the final product, we’re committed delivering results that perform in the real world.”
